In order to improve collaboration and partnership efforts for the implementation of renewable energy in Maluku, NZMATES has recently carried out an extensive reflection process with partners.
In February 2021, questionnaires were sent out to key personnel from partner institutions, including to PLN, Dinas ESDM, Bappeda Maluku, Pattimura University, Ambon State Polytechnic, and DJ-EBTKE ESDM. Discussions with each institution were then held as a follow-up to the questionnaires.
All participants agreed that activities carried out by NZMATES contributed to the sustainability of renewable energy systems in Maluku, improved the enabling environment for renewable energy implementation, and improved the capacity of partner institutions.
It was also encouraging that partners wrote that coordination with the NZMATES team has been great and they were able to connect with other stakeholders (such as energy companies and education institutions) as a result of NZMATES activities. Technical assistance and capacity building activities were also marked well.
Thank you to our partners for your participation, and we will build on this feedback to achieve a sustainable renewable energy future in Maluku!
